The organic way to better soil health.
Worms are the perfect environmental solution.
Compost worms and worm farming are used to support chemical free food production, increase organic matter and rapidly increase soil health.
We know that as a society we need to be more conscious of our environmental footprint, the waste we are generating and the need to reduce, reuse and recycle wherever we can. The Aussie Worm Power team are specialists in the production of organic worms and vermicast and the design and installation of worm farms that allow you to start transforming your local environment from your very own backyard.

Compost Worms
Compost worms thrive where there are high levels of organic materials and form the basis for most worm farms. They will help to break down organic waste and substantially reduce your environmental footprint.
Our compost worms start from as low as $35 for 1,000 worms (pick-up from our facility in Dulong). For larger quantities 2000 worms is $60 and 4000 worms or 1kg are $100. Similarly for multiple kilos, $100 each.

Bait Worms
Bait worms are traditionally much larger in size (which makes them a better choice for fishing). We grow two species - African and European Nightcrawlers.
Get sustainably produced organic bait worms from as little as 40 cents for European or African varieties. Order as few or as many as you want.
For all products I encourage you to Google prices elsewhere but make sure you know exactly the quantity you get, the quality is sometimes not displayed in digital searches. In a quality caste you should not be able to distinguish any of the original food source particles.

Vermicast
Vermicast is the end-product of worms breaking down organic matter. Castings are consistently shown to have lower contaminant levels and higher nutrient saturation than the base materials the worms feed on.
Available in liquid or solid states, our organic vermicast starts from $12 for a 10L bag, $20 for a 20l bag and $35 for a 35l bag. Vermiliquid starts at $1.50 for larger quantities to $3 per litre for small quantities. Phone for larger quantity prices.
Some common worm questions answered.

How do I care for worms?
Worms are actually really easy to look after. They have the same needs as most animals - needing food, water, oxygen and stable temperature to survive and thrive.
-
Where can I keep worms?
There are several commercial bins available and they are all easy to move, easy to add food, generally easy to remove castings and keep vermin at bay. Old bathtubs and boxes can also be a good option. I am always happy to discuss cheap options that you may have available.

How many worms do I need?
My philosophy is to start small and learn as you go. We generally find that a starter kit of 1000 worms is a great way to get going. Worms will breed to fill their available space and the amount of food they have.. Once they have breed, taking a handful and starting another bed is an economical way to go.
"We made our first purchase of compost worms for our new business not long ago. I was directed to Rob via another worm farmer who was unable to supply our requirements. Prior to even purchasing any products Rob has answered the many questions I had about the industry and worm farming in general. We received our first worm delivery and after travelling over 1500kms they arrived happy, healthy and on time. The follow-up advice and products that Rob made available are of exceptional value. We are in the process of working with Rob longer term and strongly recommend anyone wishing to purchase a quality product with sound advice to look no further than Aussie Worm Power.”
